About
Hi! I’m Jessie Hyde and this blog is my little baby. Welcome.
I am a wife, Christ follower, mommy-to-be!, first grade teacher, puppy-mom to the cutest goldendoodle in the world, daughter, friend, sister, addicted DIYer, occasional sewer, chocolate lover, couch cuddling enthusiast, risk-taker, nap lover, bloggin fool who loves making my home beautiful. Supa cheap. I mean that in the classiest of ways. My wonderful husband were married in July of 2009 and, after taking Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class, have been working hard to pay off school loans and be debt free. Dave’s slogan is “Live like no one else, so one day you can live like no one else” and that is exactly what we plan on doing. Point being, we’re cheap and everything you see here is cheap so hopefully you like cheap stuff too:)
Some things about me: I am madly in love with my husband, Mike who is a physical therapist. We love spending time with our adorable little puppy, Pudge, prepping for baby girl Hyde who will be here in April 2013!, lounging on the couch, watching bad reality tv, hanging out with our friends and family, and eating. Is that weird? Besides working on things around my house, I like to shop, cook, bake, talk (my grandma nicknamed me Dick Vitale as a child because I can talk for hours), and nap. I am also a follower of Christ and choose to walk by faith in everything I do.
So, come hang out, laugh at my silly ramblings, and hopefully be inspired. Welcome to Imperfectly Polished.

Hi. I just came across your blog through pinterest. I just thought it was awesome the you and your husband are doing dave ramsey’s plan. My husband and I started this too. So I understand the living on the cheap, but it will be so worth it to be debt free. Love your sewing posts and can’t wait to keep reading.
I love hearing from fellow Dave followers! I’m so glad you came by. Good luck to you guys with your debt-free plan. It can be hard at times but I feel so much better sticking to our plan! Thanks for checking out my little blog:)
Hi Jess,
I finally remembered to ask Ang the name of your site. It’s darling and so are you! What great ideas and work you’ve done! I’ve just shared your site with some of my other favorite people! Take care!
Love the title and tag line of your blog! It put a smile to my face when I read it! What a great quote!
I am in love with your blog, it’s inspiring, simple and easy to follow. Thank you for all of your tips and inspiration! How do I get your emails when you have new posts? I can’t seem to find it on your page. Thank you!
Hi Shayna! There is a box on the right hand side of the page near the top where you can enter your email address to subscribe. Let me know if you have any problems! And thanks for coming by:)
I love your blog! I too am addicted to DIY project and I’m totally going to make that macho dress of yours!
Your adorable husband, Mike, is currently (& in the past) my physical therapist. He told me about your Blog as I was asking him about you and your coming baby girl .
I could tell early on that he, too, is a Believer in Christ. What a blessing.
I look forward to reading your Blog. What I’ve read so far is awesome!
