Kid’s Bathroom

A couple months ago my parents babysat the kids so Mike and I could do a quick makeover on their bathroom. If you’ll recall, here is what it looked like before.

mollys-bathroom-signsWe added a cute shower curtain and I attempted some fun artwork, but other than that it was pretty bland. The gorgeous vanity was sort of forgotten since there wasn’t much else to frame it. So we added some whimsy but kept the color scheme calm and pretty. Here is the update:

We used 3″ boards for the battens and a 6″ on top as well as a 1″x2″ board as a shelf top. Our ceilings at 10′ and the wainscoting is 6′.kids bath tub

We painted the top half of the room a pretty light blue color and added these adorable Coronata stars from Walls Need Love. I used 5 packs total and have some leftover. I decided on an 18″ space between stars. After you put a few rows up, you can just eye ball the rest. They went up quickly and look so cute.

The cute towel hooks are from Hobby Lobby {a random find, not in the hook section}.

What do you think? Have you ever used wall decals?
