Hi friends!
It feels good to be back and chat house with you all. I obviously took a long break off during my first trimester and was back and ready to start blogging again in May but then the end of the busy school year happened and our computer crashed:( So blogging has been put on hold but I have a temporary replacement computer so the blog is back! I thought I would share some of the exterior progress we’ve made in the last few months since most of our time is spent outdoors these days. Mike actually installed these beautiful cedar wood porch posts back in April so they’ve been complete for awhile. Here is what the house looked like for about 6 months.
Those beautiful 2x4s were the first thing people when saw when coming to our house. Not that inviting or pretty so we planned out the cedar to warm up the front exterior. Mike simply cut them to size and mitered the sides so that they created a smooth box.
Our cedar glider and the tone of our front door flow perfectly with the pillars. I love how they contrast and warm up the white brick and rocking chairs. We still have lots of landscaping to do out front but with the pillars and grass in front now it’s looking more like a place where people actually live:)
What do you think of cedar pillars?
it looks soo good!!! Lets have a porch wine date soon!
