10 Minute Fabric Covered Cork Boards
| August 5, 2013 | Posted by Jessie under Crafty Things, Organization |
Hi everyone! Well, I survived the first two days of school:) So far, so good! I have yet to show you where I’m spending my days now, but I’m hoping to snap some pics this week of my new office. I hung my big chalkboard {which I use everyday!} and my clothespin photo display boards covered in Molly pics, of course. I have a large cork board in my office but need just a little more space for important info near my desk so this weekend I made some simple and quick fabric covered cork boards.
I had everything for this project on hand, but you could easily make this for less than $10. I had a stack of 4 cork boards to start.
I wanted to break up all the square stuff that is already going on in that room, so I decided to make them circles. I used a plate to trace around to get the perfect circle.
Then I just used some regular scissors to cut them out. A box cutter would work as well.
Then I grabbed some scrap fabric and spray adhesive. This stuff is strong.
Spray the whole surface, lay your fabric over, and smooth it out. Then flip it over, and run another line of adhesive around the back edge and fold the fabric over to adhere.
And that’s it. Super simple. I just used some thumb tacks to press them into the wall to hang.
Can’t get much easier. I can hang notes to myself, important info, or more pictures of Molly:) How do you stay organized?

These are great! I love that they’re cute AND functional. They’d be really useful in my craft room next to where I am pinning frequently. Thanks for sharing!
