Dairy-Free Berry Smoothie

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you have probably heard me talking about sweet little Molly and her colicky issues. One recommendation we got was for me to cut out dairy to help with her gas problems. As much as I love cheese, I love sleep more and if helps Molly, it helps everyone:) I’m learning that old saying “happy wife, happy life” should really be “happy baby, happy life” because her mood definitely runs the house these days:) Luckily, there are some great alternatives for milk and butter out there so there are still plenty of things I can eat. One great substitution for milk is Almond Milk. I recently bought some vanilla Almond Milk and made a delicious smoothie out of it.
For one serving, blend together 1 1/2 cups of frozen berries and 1 cup of vanilla almond milk. I also added 1 T. sugar to sweeten it up a little bit. It’s a delicious snack option for anyone who can’t have dairy, or anyone who can:)
