Pantry Makeover!

Hello everyone!
First of all, a big, huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my hubby today! He’s turning the big 3-1:)
Sorry for the lack of posts last week…there was a glitch in some scheduled posts and they never made it up. I’m making up for it over the next couple of weeks with lots of new DIY projects to share! Starting today with a pantry makeover reveal. Mike and I did this a couple of weeks ago, completley on a whim. We didn’t have any plans to do anything to the pantry, but after Mike texted me about some awesome glass paned doors he found near the dumpster at his work, the wheels started turning. The doors were actually french doors, but they wouldn’t fit anywhere in our house so we decided to use one for the pantry and will use the other one as some cool artwork down the road. I’ll have full tutorials on how we transformed the door from dumpster diving trash to gorgeous and glossy, as well as how I “wallpapered” the walls in there. Today is all about the before and afters!
Here is the pantry before:
And now, with our fancy new door, matching food containers, and fun, printed interior walls.
Doesn’t it add some drama to the kitchen? I love how it looks with our black appliances, dark table and chair cushions. The pops of blue in the containers and the printed wallpaper add some bold fun also. And we only spent about $25 on the whole makeover, including paint for the door, wallpaper, and all those containers. I’ll be back later this week to share how we did everything!

I love the look! I also love your table and benches. I wanted to do something like that for our house
Luv the door… the black looks great! Can’t wait to hear the details….
You guys get the best “trash” ever! Looks great
I’m a sucker for an organized pantry. This looks great. Love the door with the glass panes.
Warmly, Michelle
[...] morning! I’m finishing up the last of the tutorials this morning on our pantry makeover and there isn’t a whole lot of “tutorial” to give for this one, but I will share [...]
Jessie this turned out awesome. The black glossy paint really makes that corner pop! i think you acheived the high end look you were looking for! Also love the blue containers you used in the pantry to organize, adds so great color to the space! I am in the process of organizing the pantry at the cottage, thanks for all the tips and inspiration!
I think that the makeover is very nice. The glass in the pantry door is a great idea and helps keep you organized.
The only thing that I see as impractical are the blue food containers. There is so much wasted space and so little food items in your pantry. Is that really how you keep your pantry?
