Jelly Bean Monogram/Spring Buffet

I spruced up our dining room buffet over the weekend after finally taking down the Valentine Day set-up {only about a month late}. I spent about $4 on the whole table and brought some color and brightness to the room. Since I don’t really decorate our mantle for the seasons {because of the giganto t.v. that so beautifully graces that area}, this is my “mantle” {you can see previous set-ups here and here} and I’ll be linking up with Layla!
I’ll start by showing you how to make a super cheap and fun jelly bean monogram.
I started with this Diet Coke box as a backing for the beans.
I drew a simple “H” on the box next and cut it out.
You could paint the cardboard if you want or cover it in a fun fabric, but I was being lazy and just glued them to the cardboard. I flipped it over and laid out my jelly beans in a completely random pattern.
Then I simply hot glued them on.
Super simple and fun:) Some details on the buffet…
For the rest of the decor, I set up my Dollar Tree silver platters, laid around some moss, and pulled off some yellow flowers {also from the Dollar Tree} from their stems and laid them around as well. I also spray painted the rest of the sparkly eggs a winter gray color and hung them from my twiggy vases. How would I decorate without the Dollar Tree?

I love it!!! I love using random things on hand as part of crafts! So much easier than having to buy something. Last week I made a wreath out of cardboard!
Very cute idea! And thrifty, too!
