Hi everyone! I have a very special guest here today to share a simple tutorial to get you in the mood for spring: Tracie from Cleverly Inspired.

I was looking for a new pot for my new plant (it’s still alive…..yes, I am proud). I loved one at Target by Smith and Hawkin…but $15…not willing to buy it…So I set out to make my own.
Starting with the lightest tan…use sponge brush and lightly go over the entire pot…no need to be perfect…
Come over that tan with the golden color….mixing in some of the darker brown…When you blend paints that are similar colors…it takes on more dimension. Which is what I was going for….I wanted it to look aged…
Here is the finished pot….I love the variation of colors
Thanks so much for sharing your tutorial with us, Tracie! The pot turned out great. If you loved this project, here are a few more great DIY projects Tracie has shared on her blog.
$10 Wood Countertop in her current kitchen update

Of course, I loved her cedar fence wall art {it was inspired by our barn door wall art!}
And if you’re looking for an easy weeknight meal, this crock pot bbq chicken looks amazing! Definitely going to try it next week.

Make sure to stop by Cleverly Inspired and give Tracie some love!

Thanks Jessie
Can’t wait to meet up soon
xoxo
