New Year’s Wish

A wish for the new year from me {and Pinterest} to you {and to myself:)}:
New Year’s Eve may not be my favorite occasion {does anyone else find it completely overrated, overpriced, and overdone?}, but I do love the idea of a fresh start and a new year to be me. Hopefully a better, stronger, wiser me with new goals, dreams, and motivation. I’m thankful for the highs and lows of 2011 and have reflected on lesson learned this week and am definitely ready to move forward in the new year. Mike and I started a tradition of writing down our personal and family goals-financial, health, vacations we want to take, ways we want to grow personally and as a family, etc.- for the coming year and hang it in our closet. It’s a good reminder each day when we are getting ready for the day of what we need to be working toward. Out of 8 goals last year, we accomplished 7, so we feel pretty good about a successful year together.
We’ll be sitting down this weekend to write our goals for 2012 and I’ll be back next week with some fun blogging/home goals to share with you all. I’m excited for a new year and new start in 2012.
What will your book say?
Wishing you a wonderful, safe New Year’s Eve!
I love your new years tradition of writing down what you would like the new year to bring! And to be able to actually cross those off your list is fabulous! I will keep praying that your final goal of 2011 will be fulfulled in 2012!! Happy New Year!!
