Sweater Christmas Trees

I started a little bit of Christmas decorating last weekend and created these sweet little sweater Christmas trees.
I sat a couple of them on the buffet in our dining room, along with some sparkly ornaments and pine cones from the Dollar Tree.
You can obviously make these any size/color you want and can dress them up with glitter or make your own little ornaments to adorn them. Here’s how I did it.
Start with an old sweater and some scissors.
It clearly doesn’t have to be perfect. Then cut a V out of your “circle”.
Play PacMan for a few minutes in your head. Then get back to work. You basically take one side of your “V” and start rolling your sweater.
You can see under my hand that you may have some fabric around the bottom that is too long or uneven. No problem. Just snip it off after you’ve rolled and glued it. Speaking of glue, add a bead of hot glue on the edge to finish it off.
The weight of the rolled fabric inside and the shape of the bottom of the tree will make it stand on it’s own. You can scatter these around your house: dress up your mantle, end tables, centerpieces, or even hang them as ornaments from your tree.
Super simple, free, and nice and cozy for a pretty winter vignette:)
