“Love”ly Pillow
August 4, 2011 | Posted by Jessie under Master Bedroom, Sewing Projects |
I created a sweet little pillow last night for our bed {am I teasing you enough with all the accessory posts?}. I already had everything on hand to whip this cutie up:
I started by creating an envelope pillow out of leftover fabric from my love letters display. Why do I always do envelope pillows? I’m cheap. You can easily take off the envelope cover and swap it out for a new one without wasting the insert and without having to tear apart your old cover. You never know if you’ll want to use it again. {I swapped out the gray/yellow cover that went with our summer bedding to create this heart pillow to go with our cream bedding.}
Once I had my cover made, I simply starting rolling strips of lace into little rosettes. The strips were about 3-4″ each.
Then I just hot glued them on in the shape of a heart.
Sweet, huh?
This project took less than and hour and was f.r.e.e. We are putting the final two boards on the walls today and will be ready to show you the room oh-so-soon!
Oh, I love the lace on this pillow. It gives it a wonderful vintage feel. What a fun idea! Great job!
