Romantic Nightstand

I’m so excited to show you all the prettiness that has arrived on my nightstand this week so let’s just get to it.
This week I made the lamp and framed printable to spice up the nightstand. Before it was just my One Year Bible {which is still there} and kleenxes. Not so romantic or pretty.
First up, the lamp how-to.
Supplies:
The lamp shade and burgundy lamp are from Goodwill. The total for both was $5. First, I spray-painted my lamp stand a dark, shiny gray. Then I started on the shade while the base dried.
I got my lace at the flea market for $6 {and I still have a ton leftover}. It’s a pretty, antique cream color. First, I cut strips to the size of the shade.
Then I just hot glued the strips all the way around.
The next update is this cute printable I made. I thought this would be a great little quote to have in our room and it brings in a little more yellow.
I bought the frame from Goodwill as well for $1.99 and painted it the same gray as the lamp.
Printed off my quote, framed it up, and it was good to go. I added some leftover scrap book paper to the top and bottom of the printed quote so it would fill my 9″x9.5″ frame.
You can download your own copy here.
We are calming this room down, one tiny project at a time.
And I’m loving every bit of it.
Your lamp is so sassy and calming! I’ll have to try it out.

Aw, thank you!!!
When you glued the lace on, did you glue it up and down or around and around? It looks like you glued it up and down.
Thanks, Katharine
Yes, I went from top to bottom. You could probably do it either way though!
